The function of the spiral rod of the chip machine

The main function of the spiral rod of the chip conveyor is to transport various chips and waste materials.

The spiral rod of the chip conveyor drives the spiral shaft with spiral blades through a reducer, pushing the chips forward to the discharge port and falling into the designated station. This equipment is suitable for the transportation of metal and non-metal debris and powder, including but not limited to factory chips, block chips, agglomerates, copper chips, aluminum chips, stainless steel, as well as non-metallic materials such as rubber and nylon. They are widely used in the transportation of chips for CNC machine tools, modular machine tool production lines, machining centers, specialized machine tools, and other non chip transportation. In addition, the spiral rod of the chip conveyor can also be used as a conveying device for small parts and waste materials in stamping and cold pier machine tools, playing a role in improving the operating environment, reducing labor intensity, and improving the overall automation level of the machine.

There are two main structures for the screw of the chip conveyor: a square steel type without a rotating shaft and a blade type with a rotating shaft. The former is mainly used in workplaces with lighter materials (such as plastic particles and wood chips), while the latter is mainly used in workplaces with larger material particles (such as steel chips and iron chips processed by machine tools). The screw of the chip removal machine is suitable for conveying various materials of debris and short chips with a length less than 150mm, as well as for short distance transportation that deviates from the center of the chip removal line. Its material is 45 # steel cold drawn, with outer diameters ranging from 80, 100, 120, and 150. The pitch can be selected according to the outer diameter

The working principle of the spiral rod of the chip conveyor is driven by an electric motor to rotate the rotating shaft with the spiral rod, thereby pushing various materials such as metal and non-metal, such as powdered and granular debris, forward.

The design of the screw rod of the chip removal machine allows cutting or debris to rotate forward in the direction of the screw, and finally be discharged from the chip removal outlet into the chip collection car. This working principle enables the chip conveyor to effectively remove cutting, debris, and other materials generated during the machining process from the machine tool or processing area. Spiral chip conveyor, due to its compact structure, small space occupation, convenient installation and use, few transmission links, and extremely low failure rate, is particularly suitable for machine tools with narrow chip removal space and other forms of chip removal that are difficult to install.

The two forms of spiral rods include rolling flat steel bars into a spiral spring shape and welding tightly fitted spiral plates on the shaft. The conveying length of the spiral chip conveyor can be adjusted, and the screws can be connected one by one. It is often installed on one machine tool, or on several machines, and can also be used throughout the entire line. This design enables the spiral chip conveyor to meet different machine tools and processing needs, effectively improving production efficiency and processing quality.
